So over the last twelve weeks, I have been watching an anime called Amnesia. I finished watching it on Tuesday, and I was going to write a review that day but I didn't have any time. I can remember quite abit of what I wanted to say about it, but I probably should've wrote this earlier so I got down everything I had in mind. Ah, well.
EVERYTHING I AM WRITING IS OPINION. There also may be a few spoilers so please keep that in mind. Also, none of the pictures are mine.
I only decided to watch it as I could watch it for free on my mobile phone (on the Crunchyroll app) and I'd heard some good comments about it around tumblr and myanimelist. After reading the synopsis on the internet and looking at a few of the pictures, I wouldn't usually decide to watch it if I hadn't heard such good things about it. The characters looked a little odd, and it just didn't really seem like my kind of thing. Nonetheless, I decided to watch it anyway.
It's basically about a girl who loses all her memories and doesn't really have a clue what's going on, and there's some fairy who keeps appearing to her aswell. That's pretty much it in a nutshell without revealing much.
SO. After watching the first episode, it left me a curious and wanting to know what happened next. I didn't exactly enjoy it, but it left me extremely interested as it just seemed so confusing. Over the next few episodes I still wasn't enjoying it too much, but after each episode I REALLY wanted to know what would happen next.
The heroine.
The protagonist of the anime. I highly disliked her, I know she'd obviously gone through a lot seeing as she'd lost her memories, but she never really grew on me. She just seemed too timid and quiet, and she never seemed to get her words out in time. I don't think I would've been able to watch the whole anime if it was longer than 12 episodes, she would've annoyed me far too much. Not my kind of character, but she's pretty cute. I mean, just look at those eyes.
Orion.
I'm not really sure what was going with this character. I couldn't even tell if it was a boy or a girl. :c But anyway, I quite liked her. (Let's just say she's a girl, I probably should've looked into this before I wrote it but whatever.) I didn't really understand why she kept disappearing and then reappearing at certain times, but she was quite amusing and likeable. I also liked how she was slightly unexplained, but it seemed to be a pain at times.
Shin.
Mine.
I was disappointed that she was only a supporting role, because I really liked her aswell. AAAAAAAAH.
To conclude, I'm glad I watched it even if it was slightly odd. I'd only really rate it about 6/10, as it wasn't my kind of anime but the art was good, some of the characters were pretty cool but there just didn't seem to be much substance to anything. Hmm, I don't really know. I really liked all the characters eyes though, they were loooooooooovely.
TAMAKO MARKET.
I finished Tamako Market literally a few minutes before I started writing this post. There's not too much I'm going to say about it though, so this part of the post should be quite short.
I quite like this type of anime at times, as the characters are all really sweet and they make me feel good. I'm usually into anime's which have lots of actions or romance involved (for example, Sword Art Online and Mirai Nikki. My favourites of ALL TIME.) But an anime like this is okay from time to time.
I got a little confused at first, as Tamako looked quite similar to Chitanda from Hyouka (which I keep meaning to watch but still haven't).
CHITANDA.
TAMAKO.
Well, I think they're similar anyway.
DERA.
Pretty much the whole reason I decided to watch the anime. I simply couldn't resist an anime with a talking bird involved. But yeah, he was my favourite character by far. I GIVE HIM 8/10. NYAAAAAAAAWWWWWWWWWWWH.
I really did like this anime, but I probably won't be watching another which is like this anytime soon. They get a little...well...boring at times. I had the same problem with Chuunibyou demo Koi ga Shitai!
I give it about 7/10. I like anime's which are only 12 episodes long, but not when I start to like the characters and then I miss them afterwards. (That's not sad, right?)
...
Thankyou for reading! I hope you enjoy the rest of your afternoon!
